'All Clear' Given After Suspicious White Powder Found Inside Federal Building In OKC

Hazmat crews have cleared the scene after determining a suspicious white, powdery substance found inside the new federal building in downtown Oklahoma City was not dangerous.

Hazmat crews have cleared the scene after determining a suspicious white, powdery substance found inside the new federal building in downtown Oklahoma City was not dangerous.

The powder was found inside the mail room of the Oklahoma City Federal Building located at 301 N.W. 6th Street just before noon on Monday. The building houses the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs.

This scare comes after several anthrax-hoax letters were sent to several government offices last week.

No streets were closed and no one had to be evacuated.

Hazmat crews determined the powder was harmless.
