No. 1 Oklahoma took 11 innings of batting practice Friday night, scoring 24 runs and blasting seven home runs in a pair of wins over Northern Colorado and Drake.
The Sooners hit five home runs in the first two innings, two from Shelby Pendley in a 14-0 (5) win over Northern Colorado in the first game. Pendley also hit a double and drove in seven of OU's runs.
Oklahoma hit two sets of back-to-back home runs in the second inning. Pendley and Brittany Williams hit the first set before Lauren Chamberlain and Georgia Casey hit a pair later in the inning.
Casey started her first game in the circle for the Sooners, picking up the win in 3.2 innings of work.
In the second game, Chamberlain blasted a pair of home runs and drove in five runs in a 10-2 (6) win over Drake.
Keilani Ricketts struck out 11 batters and moved to 10-0 this season. Ricketts also became OU's career leader in starts, starting her 136th game for the Sooners tonight.
The Sooners will play the same two teams on Saturday, taking on Northern Colorado at 11 a.m. and Drake at 1 p.m.
