The RedHawks President and General Manager Michael Byrnes spoke out, Friday, about reports the team could end up moving to Texas.

As far as the RedHawks are concerned, they're moving ahead with business as usual and say bottom line, they're confident they're here to stay in Oklahoma City.

The rumors started when the Astros' General Manager said the team was looking at bringing their minor league team closer to Houston.

The RedHawks acknowledge this, but say the move is unlikely because right now there aren't any minor league teams to move. Even if things change over the next two years, the RedHawks plan on keeping a team here.

"The RedHawks are part of the Pacific Coast League, so the Pacific Coast League actually has the rights to this marketplace. So their intention is for there to always be a Triple-A baseball team in Oklahoma City," said Byrnes.

That pretty much says it right there. The RedHawks' owners aren't looking to leave Oklahoma City anytime soon and they're confident that this facility will attract future major league clubs if it comes to that.

Right now though, they're planning on continuing their partnership with the Astros.
