A Del City family is celebrating the $20,000 they won after making a half-court shot during Tuesday's Thunder game.
Heath and Jenni Kufahl were selected to participate in a free throw contest against another couple between the 3rd and 4th quarter.
"I was very nervous," says Jenni.
"She didn't have a choice," says Heath about the competition.
The couple made a combined six free throws and got a chance to make a half court shot for $20,000.
Heath not only made the shot, but then ran all over the court and received high fives from Laker players.
"Ran around like a kid. Nobody could catch me" says Heath, a teacher and basketball coach at Christian Heritage Academy in Del City.
The money will not only provide for the family's 7 children, but also pay medical bills for Jenni who is now fighting appendix cancer.
"The money is a blessing, but an even bigger blessing is to talk about what God means in our lives," says Heath.
"We know is wasn't luck that he made that shot," says Jenni.
Jenni is more than half way done with her Chemotherapy treatment.
The Thunder says this is the 4th half-court shot made since 2011.
The Kufahl's story is going viral with the couple getting interview requests from CNN and ESPN.
