OKC Pastor Charged With Murder For Son-In-Law's Death

Oklahoma County prosecutors have filed a first-degree murder charge against a 53-year-old pastor accused of shooting and killing his estranged son-in-law.

Police say Michael Elder shot Gary Davidson February 20 at Davidson's home in northwest Oklahoma City. Davidson had recently filed for divorce from Elder's daughter, April.

According to court documents, the shooting stemmed from a fight Gary and April were having over a pickup truck in both their names.

Elder is the pastor at The Cross Baptist Church on S.W. 96th Street in Oklahoma City. He's currently being held without bond in the Oklahoma County jail.
