Southeastern men's tennis rebounded from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to pull out a 5-4 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 5-3 overall on the season heading into a Feb. 26 home contest with Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m.
The duo of Laercio Lobo and Billy Haugen pulled out a 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles to prevent the sweep after UAFS took No. 1 and 2 by scores of 8-3.
Luka Radulovic avenged his doubles loss with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles to even the score at 2-2.
The Lions, however, would pick up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to mount a 4-2 advantage, with each match going three sets.
Lobo would pick up a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 to begin closing the gap and Tiago Ferrieria would even the contest at 4-4 with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5.
Haugen would complete the comeback at No. 6 with a 7-5, 6-2 win to clinch the victory.
