Southeastern's Mann, Marris Named To Award Watch List

Southeastern pitchers Cameron Mann and Brandon Marris have been named to the Tino Martinez Award watch list for the 2013 season.

The Tino Martinez Award after former University of Tampa, United States Olympian, first round draft pick and MLB All-Star, Tino Martinez.

Mann and Marris join a group of five Great American Conference players to make the list.

Mann is coming off an impressive season as Southeastern's closer in which he posted a 1.69 ERA while collecting 11 saves and compiled an 8-2 record. He made 28 total appearances and tossed 58.2 innings.

He held opponents to a .241 batting average while striking out 56.

Marris enters the season off an 11-4 campaign in 2012 in which he tallied a 2.51 ERA with 14 starts in 16 appearances.

He tossed a team-high 89.2 innings and struck out 90 batters while holding opponents to a .215 batting average.
