Oklahoma Baptist's loss at then No. 19 Rogers State and home win over then No. 9 USAO cost the Bison one spot in the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
OBU dipped to No. 5 in the rankings, the lowest to date this season for the Bison. OBU has 252 points in the poll, which are just two shy of No. 4 William Carey and four behind No. 3 Lewis-Clark State. Last week's top-ranked team, Cumberlands, lost two games after getting the top ranking and dropped to No. 14.
The new No. 1 is the lone remaining undefeated team in the NAIA – Columbia at 17-0.
The Bison will play a top 10 team for the second game in a row Thursday when John Brown visits for an 8 p.m. tip. The Golden Eagles moved from No. 25 to No. 10 after defeating Rogers State and USAO. Rogers State fell to No. 20 and USAO to No. 23.
OBU plays at Oklahoma City, which received votes in the poll and is 30th, Saturday at 5 p.m.
Oklahoma Baptist leads the active group of being ranked with 55-straight mentions, followed by Rogers State at 21 and Montana State-Northern at 20.
