The Pardon and Parole Board held a Special Meeting Monday morning to revise policies regarding Oklahoma's parole procedures.

In November, voters approved State Question 762, which removes the Governor from the parole process for non-violent crimes.

On Monday, members of the board discussed new policies and procedures for implementation of State Question 762.

"There have been some that have said the board is being turned loose to carte blanche turn anyone loose that they want to and that just isn't true. There isn't going to be any change that I can sense in the board, in how we make considerations that we've always done," said Marc Dreyer, Chairman of Parole Board.

The group also drafted "parole certificates" for non-violent offenses. Parole hearings begin on January 22.
