I saw this story and just had to share it with you. Police pulled over a 25-year-old man in Plano Texas. His car tag was expired.
He told the officer he couldn't afford to update his car's registration, it was either buy a tag or buy food for his two kids. The officer, apparently unmoved by the story, wrote him a ticket anyway, but he slipped something inside the folded citation. It was a $100 bill.
The driver says when he found it he broke down in his car and cried. The officer doesn't want any recognition, so I won't use his name.
Tis the high season for random acts of kindness. In fact, there's a move on the social media now called #26Acts encouraging Americans to do 26 acts of kindness in honor of the 26 people murdered at the Connecticut Elementary school.
And if you struggle to come up with 26 ideas, there's help for that too. The website www.RandomActsOfKindness.org is chock full of great ideas that won't overwhelm your Christmas budget or your daily planner.
