Police Seek Convicted Killer Who Escaped From Stringtown Prison

Authorities are searching for a convicted killer who escaped from the prison in Stringtown, Oklahoma, on Monday.

A Department of Corrections spokesperson said Jason Bales was last seen at about 7:15 a.m. at the Mack Alford Correctional Facility in Stringtown, Oklahoma. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Bales is serving life without parole for killing his girlfriend's mother, Stepheny Glass, and burying her in a shallow grave in southwest Oklahoma City back in 2006.

Bales stands 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs 196 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
