A Look At Bedlam By The Numbers

The Sooners and Cowboys played a Bedlam for the ages in Norman on Saturday and there were several records set in the process.

• OU led Bedlam for 0:00 of game time on Saturday and won 51-48.

• OSU scored 48 points, the most ever for the Cowboys in the series, and lost.

• The Sooners had three receivers top the 100-yard mark in one game for the first time in school history. Jalen Saunders finished with 10 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown, Justin Brown had 15 receptions for 146 yards and Kenny Stills hauled in nine passes for 103 yards and a score. Brown's 15 receptions tied the OU single-game record.

• OSU's special teams coverage units have allowed three returns for scores this season, including Saunders' 82-yard punt return on Saturday. All three have come in losses for the Pokes against OU, Texas and Kansas State.

• OU moved to 2-0 all-time in overtime contests in Norman. The other came in a 37-30 victory against Baylor in 2005.

• Oklahoma State had a touchdown drive lasting two minutes or less for the 38th consecutive game, which leads the nation. OSU had four such drives against the Sooners.

• Landry Jones became the first player in FBS history to have more than 3,000 passing yards and 26-or-more touchdown passes in all four seasons of his career.

• With four touchdowns on Saturday, Joseph Randle moved past Kendall Hunter into fourth place on OSU's career rushing touchdowns list with 40 TDs. He now trails only NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman winner Barry Sanders (48), Heisman runner-up Terry Miller (43), and NFL and NCAA Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas (43). It was also the third four-touchdown game of Randle's career and 13th multi-touchdown game.

• After trailing by 14 points, this game marked the 14th comeback by at least a two-touchdown deficit in Bob Stoops' career at OU.

• The 75-yard Clint Chelf-to-Josh Stewart touchdown pass on the first play of the second half was Oklahoma State's longest play from scrimmage this season. It was also OSU's sixth one-play touchdown drive in 2012.

• OSU entered the game ranked 24th in the country in rush defense and lived up to it, limiting the Sooners to 106 yards on 3.5 yards per carry. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the run D fell short when it was needed the most on Blake Bell's run to send the game into overtime and Brennan Clay's game-winning touchdown scamper.

• Landry Jones moved into first place on the Big 12's all-time yardage list on Saturday, passing Texas Tech's Graham Harrell. Harrell had 15,599 and Jones now sits at 15,756. He also accomplished it on a day where he set OU records for completions (46) and attempts (71) on his way to 500 passing yards.

• OSU's Clint Chelf had a great game in his own right in just his third-career start and first road start. Chelf finished with 253 passing yards and a touchdown on 19-of-37 passing. He also contributed 63 rushing yards and 36 yards receiving.
