Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car In NW OKC

A woman has been transported to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Oklahoma City Monday night.

According to authorities, the 19-year-old victim was hit by a red Mustang in the area of N.W. 50th Street and Tulsa Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

The victim's boyfriend was walking with her at the time of the accident. He said the victim was trying to cross the street to go to a friend's house, and may not have looked both ways before she was hit.

According to police, the driver of the red Mustang called 911 after the woman was hit. Witnesses on the scene say the driver wasn't speeding. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.

The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
