UPDATE: Charges have been dropped against the officer involved, Kris Hunter. The case has been dismissed.
An off-duty Oklahoma City police officer is accused of assaulting a National Guard veteran on Veterans' Day.
According to an incident report, veteran Jeremy Kenneth Pospisil says the officer attacked him Sunday night at Sipango Lounge, located at 4301 N. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City.
Pospisil said the officer came into the bar and asked to use his lighter. The two then apparently had a friendly conversation until Pospisil says he recognized the officer as the man his wife had an affair with.
Pospisil told police he confronted the officer about the affair and only wanted him to admit to it. When the officer denied the affair, Pospisil said he called him a name and told him to "man up." Pospisil said that's when the officer allegedly "sucker" punched him.
The report said the suspect continued to hit the victim several more times, and then ran out of the bar. Pospisil suffered cuts and swelling on and around his face.
Police won't identify the officer, but the victim says it's Kris Hunter. The suspect faces charges of assault and battery.
