NEW YORK CITY--The end of the road nears…
I am not sure where all of the time went, but somehow we are just days away from the end of the 2012 MLB regular season. The goal of watching all 2,430 regular season games is upon us, and because of your help, I am one of only three people that got the opportunity to do that in the MLB Fan Cave this season. As great of a feat as that it, all of the focus now shifts to the postseason.
In terms of any type of eliminations, MLB has not updated the Cave Dwellers on any of those details. We all hope to hear something this week, and as soon as I do, I will update you immediately.
In the meantime, my big goal for this week is to get a BIG voting push. I am doing well in the other facets of the Cave experience, but I want to make sure to give you all a chance to help as well. Please, share this voting link, encourage those that you have influence on to share it, and vote AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!
One of the coolest things that I got to do this week was meet and interview Adam Greenberg. Seven years ago, on the first pitch of his Major League debut, he was hit in the head by the pitch and it "ended" his career. Through hard work and a massive social media movement, he made his was back and will get his shot at the majors this coming Tuesday against the New York Mets. You should definitely give his story a read.
Here are some of the other blogs that I did this week. Be sure to give them a read as well:
-MVP of the 2012 St. Louis Cardinals
-Video: Did Jon Jay Make the Catch of the Year?
-Player Poll: Most Memorable Postseason HR of the Last 25 Years
-SI: Yadier Molina is the NL MVP
-2012 All Star Futures Game Alums
We also had the pleasure of meeting three players from the Pittsburgh Pirates: Andrew McCutchen, Jared Hughs, and Brock Holt. Later in the week, we did an interview with the stars of NBC's Guys With Kids: Anthony Anderson, Jesse Bradford, and Zack Cregger. Be sure to check MLBFanCave.com in the coming weeks to see the great content that we did with them.
In addition to the player and celebrity visits, we had two concerts this week. All Time Low performed a show in what was easily the biggest and most crazed crowd, and then Talib Kwelli ripped up the stage to end the week. This coming week, we will be featuring concerts by Lifehouse and The Script.

Again, as I said, I will update you on eliminations as soon as I know anything. Your support and prayers are felt, and I hope to stay here for the remainder of the season making you proud.
Kindest regards,
Kyle D. Thompson
