Police are on the hunt for six people involved in a deadly shooting at a southwest Oklahoma City home early Sunday morning.
It happened just before 6 a.m. in an area known for violence.
News 9 spoke with the victim's family Sunday night and they say they are devastated over his death and don't know why something like would happen inside his house.
Neighbors say they heard the commotion after the shots rang out at a home near SW 32nd and McKinley in a residential neighborhood.
Oklahoma City Police responded to the house around 5:45 a.m. after reports of a shooting. They say the victim was transported to a hospital where he later died. The victim's cousin tells News 9 a group of people were at the house when an argument broke out and someone pulled a gun.
She said the suspect pointed the gun at her brother and that is when the victim tried wrestling it out of the shooter's hands. He ended up getting shot.
Police say they are looking for a total of six people who took off after the shooting. They say three men and three women left the scene in a white 4-door car.
The victim's family says he lives with his cousin at the house where the shooting happened. Neighbors say violence happens in the area often and weren't surprised by the shooting.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects should contact the Oklahoma City Police Department.
