Putnam City Northridge Elementary Closed Tuesday Due To Broken A/C System

Northridge Elementary in Putnam City will be closed on Tuesday due to broken air conditioning system. School officials say daytime temperatures are expected to rise above 100 degrees.

According to officials, as of Monday evening, temperatures inside the building are for the most part above 90 degrees.

Without the air conditioning system, school officials say it's impossible to move enough air into the building to cool it off.

According to district officials, the earliest they can get the needed parts will be 8 a.m. Tuesday. Once they have the parts, installation will take at least four hours, officials say.
