The Oklahoma Sooners volleyball team ended their tour of Colorado with a 3-1 (23-25, -21, 19-25, 16-25) loss to No. 24 Colorado State Sunday afternoon.
The Sooners made the short trip over to Fort Collins from Greeley, Colo. where they had been participating in the Northern Colorado Classic. OU went 2-1 in the tournament, sweeping Air Force and North Dakota State, and falling to host Northern Colorado in five sets.
Sunday, the Sooners were led by outside hitter Tara Dunn, who record 14 kills for OU on a .265 hit percentage, while Sallie McLaurin had 12 kills and four solo blocks.
The Sooners split the first two sets with the Rams before Colorado State pulled away down the stretch of both the third and fourth sets to take the match.
OU is in the midst of a major road trip. The Sooners travel to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks Tuesday night before heading to Lincoln, Neb. for the weekend to participate in the Ameritas Players Challenge.
