OU Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

The Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team announced a 14-game non-conference schedule Friday, which includes seven home games, a Thanksgiving week tournament in Orlando, Fla., and a meeting with a former Big 12 rival in the All-College Classic.

The Big 12 conference schedule for OU was released on Aug. 9.

The Sooners will participate in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. over Thanksgiving week, where they will first take on UTEP before facing either Clemson or Gonzaga, and also face Texas A&M in the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City Dec. 15.

Marquee matchups outside of tournaments for the Sooners include road trip to Oral Roberts, University of Texas-Arlington, and Arkansas, and a home game with Ohio, who is coming off an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 last season.

The Sooners open the season Nov. 11 at home against Louisiana-Monroe, after two home exhibition matchups against Washburn and Central Oklahoma, Nov. 2 and 7, respectively.

OU closes out non-conference play Dec. 31 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, before beginning conference play Jan. 5 at West Virginia.

The Sooners will play 14 games against teams that participated in the 2012 NCAA tournament, with a 15th game possible depending on how the Old Spice Classic bracket shakes out.
