Team USA ended up blowing out Tunisia but it took a little time for the star-studded group to get going.
The U.S. led by 13 at the half when coach Mike Krzyzewski decided on starting the reserves for the second half. The decision paid off as the second unit jumped out on a 21-3 run to jump start an eventual 110-63 victory for the United States.
The 47-point blowout moved Team USA to 2-0 in the tournament.
The Oklahoma City Thunder trio was steady but not spectacular in the lopsided victory. Russell Westbrook played a significant role in the 21-3 run to start the second half.
Kevin Durant finished with 13 points,10 rebounds and five assists. Westbrook contributed 11 points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals. James Harden finished with 10 points and two rebounds, hitting 2-for-4 from 3.
It was a fairly balanced scoring effort from the U.S. with every playing scoring at least once. Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony led the way with 16 points each.
The U.S. plays Nigeria on Thursday.
