I'm sick and tired of the Penn State football apologists, more specifically the Joe Paterno apologists.
Those who continue to insist that the dead coach's legacy should not be defined by ONE mistake he made toward the end of his career.
It wasn't one mistake, he was involved in an ongoing cover-up of child sex abuse for 14 years.
Now there's a debate about whether Paterno's statue on campus should be taken down.
He protected a child rapist and even gave access to facilities that he would use to rape more kids.
Debate over.
Take it down...
Educator... Coach.. Humanitarian.
Humanitarian... that's accurate.
He and other Penn State leaders wanted to make sure one of those in the sex abuse case was treated humanely.. their word.
It was the molester Sandusky.
Paterno's statue needs to be removed... and Penn State's football program needs to be shut down for a couple of years.
The whole University let Paterno, Sandusky, and anyone else associated with the football program do whatever they wanted, and the fact that these crimes destroyed children's lives certainly warrants a painful punishment for the entire Penn State family.
