Mid-Del School District To Break Ground On New School Tuesday

The Mid-Del School District will celebrate the groundbreaking of a new school on Tuesday, at the East Side Elementary school property, located at 600 Key Blvd. in Midwest City.

The event will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say the new school will house the combined student body from East Side Elementary, Traub Elementary, and approximately 60 students from Sooner Rose Elementary.

The Mid-Del School District sold Traub Elementary and Sooner Rose Elementary in 2011, according to school officials.

A new school will be built to house the students. Officials say the remaining Sooner Rose students will be attending an expanded and renovated Del City Elementary school.
