News On 6 Sports Director and co-host of the Oklahoma Ford Sports Blitz, John Holcomb was in Oklahoma City Tuesday with some esteemed company at the annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-State Banquet.
Holcomb emceed the yearly event at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum that honors top FCA coaches and athletes from the state of Oklahoma.
Joining him at the event was former Oklahoma Sooner Curtis Lofton, former Cowboy Billy Bajema and Bethany native Chris Chamberlain.
All three NFL players were honored for being positive Christian influences for those who look at them as role models.
Lofton, who just signed with the New Orleans Saints was a linebacker for the Sooners from 2005-2008 after attending Kingfisher High School. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for four years and is now excited to play for the Saints.
Bajema went to Westmoore High School and played football at Oklahoma State. He has spent seven seasons in the NFL and is currently with the St. Louis Rams.
Finally, Bethany native Chris Chamberlain played at the University of Tulsa before playing four years in the NFL with the Rams.
