OKLAHOMA CITY -- For the Thunder's first few years in OKC, they bought out and renovated a former roller skating rink as their new practice facility.
But just as the team has moved up in the standings over the years, they have also moved up a bit as far as buildings go.
The INTEGRIS Health Thunder Development Center was built from the ground up in Oklahoma City and has been serving the team since the start of this season.
It is 55,200 square feet, sits on 6.3 acres and houses 10 basketball goals spread out over two full courts.
It also has a locker room with 18 lockers, 32 offices, a theater/film room, weight rooms, training rooms and endless other amenities.
But one difference between the old facility and the new one is the overall ambiance it seems to give off.
Team spokespeople have said that the entire facility is geared toward "player development."
This means there are no X-Boxes, no Playstations and no other recreational distractions from the job at hand.
The facility is nice and new, but not gaudy by any means. The majority of it has neutral colors and modern looks that you would find in any recently built fancy office building.
While the team was in Indiana for a game on Friday, News 9 was at the team's practice facility to take a full tour. Check out the video player above to get a look inside the facilities that OKC calls home.
