News 9 has learned that two assistant district attorneys at the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office have been suspended for possible ethics violations.
The ADAs were suspended on Monday and the DA's office is conducting an internal investigation. The DA's office will not reveal details of the allegations, but District Attorney David Prater had this to say about the matter.
"We are involved in the investigation of alleged misconduct from two of our lawyers. We take the allegations of alleged misconduct very seriously. Upon learning the information, we immediately notified Bob Ravitz, the chief public defender and the judge involved in the case (Deason)."
Prater says he will give a full statement next week after the conclusion of their investigation and final personnel action.
The Attorney General's office may be called in to investigate if any criminal misconduct occurred.
