Oklahoma standout Keilani Ricketts has been named the Division I National Player of the week as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Tuesday afternoon.
In the last week of play, Ricketts compiled a 4-0 record in four starts as well as a save in the only game she didn't start. On the week she totaled 54 strikeouts in 30.1 innings and ended the week with an 0.46 ERA.
The junior pitched back-to-back one hitters against North Texas and LSU striking out 10 or more batter sin all four games started.
At the plate, Ricketts led OU with a .429 batting average during the five games and recorded six hits including two home runs and two doubles.
The award is the second National Player of the Week honor of Ricketts' career, having previously earned the award on May 10 of last season.
