An Oklahoma County judge has ruled there is enough evidence to have a former Western Heights basketball coach go to trial on sex charges.
Tyrone Nash is accused of raping a 16-year-old student. He appeared before the judge with his attorney on Tuesday. He is currently out on bail.
Nash's accuser, a 17-year-old female who is a senior at Western Heights, is the only one who took the stand Tuesday. She talked about how she met at Nash's house about 20 times and that the two had sex when she was a sophomore.
Nash's attorney plans to challenge the constitutionality of the law that makes it illegal for a 16-year-old to have a consensual sexual relationship. Nash's trial date has not yet been set.

The school district released this statement regarding Tyrone Nash:
An agreement has been reached between the District and Tyrone Nash. The agreement insures that Mr. Nash will never again teach or coach at Western Heights, regardless of the outcome of his criminal trial. The agreement allows Mr. Nash to go on unpaid administrative leave for the rest of the current school year; Mr. Nash's contract will not be renewed by the District. For the benefit of Mr. Nash's family, the District will continue to provide insurance to Mr. Nash's family for the next calendar year. This agreement is in the best interest of the Western Heights School District.
