Rain-slickened roads may be to blame for an accident early Wednesday morning on westbound Interstate 40 near the Kilpatrick Turnpike.
Around 12:45 a.m., a semi-truck driver lost control and the rig overturned, crashing onto its side. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the truck was carrying mattresses, so the load was fairly light.
OHP shut down I-40 so crews could upright and remove the truck. It's not known exactly what caused the crash, but it was raining at the time.
The interstate reopened a couple of hours after the accident. The semi driver was not seriously hurt.
