Suspect In Chickasha Murder Found Dead

A suspect jailed in connection with the murder of a Chickasha man has been found dead in his cell in the Grady County Jail.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirms that George Rouse apparently committed suicide about 6 p.m. Saturday.  He is believed to have been the only person in his cell at the time.

The Grady County District Attorney has asked the OSBI to spearhead the investigation into Rouse's death.

George Rouse was arrested Thursday on a first-degree murder complaint.  Prosecutors suspect Rouse in the death of 31-year-old Danny Ray Franklin whose body was found Monday near his parents' home.
