Police Investigate Homicide After Mother Found Dead In Midwest City Home

Midwest City Police found the body of a young mother inside a Midwest City home after someone called to report two young children playing outside alone.

Police responded to the call Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Locust Lane. When they arrived, they found a two-year-old girl and her four-year-old brother, wearing pajamas and playing in the yard.

One of the officers asked the children where their parents were, and the kids told police that "mommy is asleep" in the house.

When police went into the house, they found the body of a young woman in her 20s. She had obvious signs of trauma, but police are not saying exactly how she died.

The children were taken into protective custody. Police are asking anyone with information about the homicide to call Midwest City Police at (405) 739-1306.
