STILLWATER, Oklahoma – OSU guard Jean-Paul Olukemi suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, coach Travis Ford announced on Monday.

Olukemi suffered the injury during the second half of Saturday's New Year's Eve loss to Virginia Tech at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Ford confirmed the injury during Monday's Big 12 teleconference.

Olukemi left the game after the injury but actually returned briefly to action before leaving the game for good.

He was averaging 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game through 13 games this year.

Ford also said that starting guard Markel Brown re-aggravated a hip flexor injury and is considered "day-to-day."

The Cowboys are finished with nonconference play and will open Big 12 play on Wednesday at home against Texas Tech.
