Man Found Dead Near OKC Train Tracks Identified

Police have released the name of a homicide victim whose body was found Tuesday, December 20, in northeast Oklahoma City.

Some children found Vernon Lamont Johnson, 42, dead near N.E. 16th Street and Miramar. Police said he had trauma to his body consistent with a homicide, but they have not determined yet how he died.

Police are still in the beginning stages of their investigation. They ask anyone with information about Johnson's death to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200. Callers can remain anonymous.
