Residents in Hollis, Oklahoma are advised to not use city water, because several water samples have been tested positive for E.Coli bacteria.
On Sunday, City Manager Bob Copeland announced that the city is supplying drinking water to residents at the fire station.
According to the city manager, officials submitted routine water samples taken on Monday to the lab, and one of the samples was tested positive for E.Coli. Four more samples taken Thursday were also submitted to the lab and two of them were tested positive for E.Coli.
Copeland said the city was notified of the positive results at about 11 a.m. Saturday.
Officials said residents are also advised to use bottled water until city water samples are tested free of E.Coli bacteria.
