Arrest Made In Cushing Murder

CUSHING, Oklahoma – Cushing police and OSBI agents have made an arrest in a Friday homicide.

Benjamin Joel Andre Littlesun was arrested near the Wilshire Inn on a first-degree murder complaint.

Police say Littlesun was involved in the crime which occurred sometime Friday morning.

At about 7 a.m., a person working in the area of 100 W. Broadway discovered an injured woman suffering from significant trauma to her body. The woman was transported to a hospital in Cushing where she later died.

Police have tentatively identified the woman believed to be in her forties, but they are withholding her identity pending positive identification.

The state medical examiner's office will determine the cause of the woman's death.

Littlesun is behind bars at the Payne County Jail.
