NORMAN, Oklahoma – Funeral arrangements for legendary Oklahoma broadcaster Bob Barry Sr. have been set for Thursday Nov. 3 in Norman.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church Thursday in Norman.
The Oklahoma legend passed away over the weekend at his home in Norman at the age of 80.

Barry became the radio play-by-play voice of the Sooners in 1961 when former OU coach Bud Wilkinson chose him for the job. He spent the next 11 years calling the plays for OU until he left to cover Oklahoma State and University of Tulsa games.
In 1991 Barry returned to Oklahoma where he called football and men's basketball games until his retirement in March of 2010.
Barry was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
