OKLAHOMA CITY -- Jury selection starts Monday in the trial for three people accused of ambushing an Oklahoma City police officer.
Police say Alex Mercado, Vilma Escalante and Hector Escalante ambushed officer Katie Lawson after a traffic stop.
All face charges of shooting with intent to kill, possession of a firearm and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Lawson was shot in the leg, face and body with an assault rifle in August of last year.
Investigators say the two charged were upset because police arrested one of their relatives during a traffic stop.
Hector Escalante entered a blind guilty plea last week.
A judge will sentence him in November. Lawson later received the medal of honor for her bravery.
