Seminole Woman Killed In Pottawatomie County Car Wreck

A Seminole, Oklahoma woman was killed when her car apparently lost control on Interstate 40 in Pottawattamie County early Sunday morning.

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Oklahoma – A Seminole, Oklahoma woman was killed when her car apparently lost control on Interstate 40 in Pottawattomie County early Sunday morning.

This happened at 2:35 a.m.The driver, 53-year-old Donna Mello was pronounced dead at the scene due to the massive injuries she suffered in the wreck. She was transported to Swerengin Funeral Home in Seminole.

Thirty-three-year-old Jessica Davidson was in the car at the time of the crash. She was transported by React Ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with injuries in her leg, neck, back and shoulder.

According to the accident report, a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Mello lost control for an unknown reason. The car then left the roadway to the left and rolled approximately three times. Both Mello and Stanfill were thrown out of the car during the crash.

Troopers say neither Mello nor Stanfill was wearing a seatbelt at the time. They have determined the cause of this collision to be unsafe speed on wet road.
