BETHANY, Oklahoma -- After a successful first attempt, the Bethany Bronchos and the Washington Warriors will square off in the second-annual Children's Center Bowl Friday.
Last season's matchup, which the Bronchos came away with a 37-0 win over the Warriors, netted thousands of dollars for the non-profit hospital.
"Last year was huge," said Albert Gray, chief executive officer of The Children's Center said in a press release. "The two schools combined to raise more than $7,000 dollars for the 120 patients at our hospital."
The activities for the bowl begin Thursday, with players and cheerleaders from both teams visiting with patients at The Children's Center, followed by a series of contests between the two schools designed to educate about living with disabilities.
The game between Bethany and Washington will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bethany High School.
