EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Chad and Lindsay live in Edmond with their three-year old son Chalin.
They're unable to have any more children, so they plan to adopt one. They learned that the cost of adoption can run as high as $20,000. So Chad and Lindsay recently decided to raise some money for an adoption by putting their 2011 OU season tickets up for auction on-line.
"I would love to use 'em," says Chad, a passionate Sooner fan. "But you know we decided that there's something a little bit more important than OU football, and that's bringing another little one into our family."
Lindsay says it was really Chad's decision. "I thought there's no way he would agree to that," she says, " and so when he told me I was very surprised--excited, but very surprised."
They got only one bid--for $1000--so now the tickets are sold. But the couple has other autographed Sooner memorabilia that they plan to auction on-line as well.
