NORMAN, Oklahoma – There is never any shortage of talent at the running back spot for the Oklahoma Sooners.
But that doesn't mean there's always a clear-cut No. 1 back.
After the departure of senior DeMarco Murray, Stoops has a host of running backs to choose from to fill his starting role.
Even though one back has to start, that doesn't mean he will get all the reps. Stoops said as many as five different running backs could see some consistent time over the course of the year.
Perhaps the leading candidate to take over the starting role is sophomore Roy Finch.
Finch was impressive in his time at running back during his freshman season, but said can be effective in more ways than just taking handoffs.
