OKLAHOMA CITY -- Students arrived at Oakridge Elementary School Tuesday morning and discovered the building had no power.
Monday night's storms had knocked out electricity to the school. School begins at 8:30 a.m., but power was not restored by that time. Oklahoma City Public Schools spokesperson Tierney Cook-Tinnin says students and faculty were bused to Bodine Elementary about a mile-and-a-half away.
Oakridge students will have classes and eat lunch at Bodine. When the school day is over, they'll be bused back to Oakridge so their parents can pick them up.
