OKLAHOMA CITY -- A photo shoot at our governor's mansion is generating national attention. A video posted online shows the first daughter, Christina Fallin-Bacon, posing in and around the mansion.
The video was part of a photo shoot for local online publication "20 something magazine."
The first daughter's photo shoot took place at the governor's mansion in early July, but it just recently sparked interest online. Some are calling it distasteful while others say they don't see any harm.
The video starts with the first daughter striking a pose outside the mansion in sky-high platform heels and tight leather pants.
The video is a behind-the-scenes look at what readers can expect in next month's issue of Twenty Something Magazine.
Magazine Fashion Director Kelsey Self says she was excited to have the first daughter agree to be the August girl of the month.
"Having Christina in the issue is going to just attract more people," said Self. "People are really excited about it. We get comments on our Facebook pages."
Self says the governor's daughter is very fashionable and even made some of the shoes worn in the shoot.
"She is a really personable person," said Self. "[She is] someone we immediately connected with, and we are just really excited to share that with her."
Some national media outlets posted the story online Friday, sparking interest. The magazine in Oklahoma has since removed the video from its website.
News 9 viewers shared their thoughts on Facebook. Most of the Facebook comments were positive toward the first daughter.
The Governor's Office released a statement in response to the photo shoot saying in part, "the governor was not at the mansion during the photo shoot, nor was she or any member of her staff asked to approve the photo shoot.
Neither the governor or her daughter were not available for comment on Friday. A spokesperson at the Governor's Office says the photo shoot did not cost taxpayers a dime, and the first daughter was not paid for the photos.
The magazine issue featuring the governor's daughter will be out next month. News 9 is told there will be an interview in that issue, so readers can learn more about Christina Fallin-Bacon.
