MAPS 3 Projects Approved By OKC City Council

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City is another step closer to getting a new convention center.

Tuesday the city council approved the location of the new center at the old car dealership just west of the OKC Arena.

It will be one of the first projects started under Maps 3. It's scheduled to be finished in late 2018.

The rest of the Maps 3 timeline council members approved includes new sidewalks by 2014 and a street car and transit hub in place by 2021.
