DEER CREEK, Oklahoma -- A wildfire burned about 100 acres Monday morning near MacArthur Boulevard and Waterloo road in Deer Creek.
According to fire crews, a farmer accidentally started the wildfire just after 9 a.m. while using a piece of farm equipment known as a swather.
The fire quickly spread and raced toward a house. Fortunately, a brush pumper arrived in time to stop the flames before they reached the home.
The wildfire went around the house and continued to spread, burning trees and at least one power pole.
