Controversial Kim, The King and what's in a nickname?

Hate to see Anthony Kim out 10-12 weeks following left wrist surgery. The former Sooner is a Birdie Festival waiting to happen anytime he pegs it up. I believe he and former Pokes Hunter Mahan and rookie Rickie Fowler will win majors for the next twenty years. The question surrounding Kim is will he be disciplined enough to compete week in week out year after year after year.

I’ve heard both sidesplenty of critics and players who slam Kim claiming he’ll never succeed because of his wild side, and a few who swear by him saying he’s a great guy who is misunderstood and unfairly judged.  Throwing no stones, all I’ll say is some people might want to consider the living by the glass-house rule. And since I’m betting he’ll win majors and be a factor on the Tour for a long time I guess I’m saying I think he’ll take care of himself. Like Mahan and Fowler, ‘he got game.’

Hockey source tells me he expects the nickname of the new OKC hockey to team to be either the Thunderbirds or the Barons. The AHL team begins play in October.

Oh yea.I did get to meet Arnie in North Carolina earlier this week. He didn’t disappoint. Warm, long handshakelook you in the eye and a listenerwasn’t in a hurrydidn’t speak glowingly about Tigersaid he remembered Oak Tree Golf Club and how “darned hard it was”Arnie’s 80 and looked distinguished with the dark tan, white hair and sear sucker suit. Never articulate but genuine and authenticthe real McCoy.
