I booked a room on the 10th floor of the Skirvin Hotel and spent the night there last night with just a camera and a flash light. My conclusion...the only things haunting the New York Knicks are Isiah Thomas and the contract of Allan Houston. (Look for more on my mano y mano battle against paranormal activity Sunday on the Blitz and right here on Oklahoma Sports.)
But I do think this...I do think the threat of ghosts in the visiting team's hotel is genius!!! True or not, opposing teams are dreading coming to Oklahoma City and getting a shabby night's sleep before the game. I'll give Sam Presti credit. Why not? He's done everything else right since he's been here.
Maybe "Effie" the not-so-friendly ghost is exactly the 6th-man the Thunder needs to make a playoff run. And it could be huge in free agency! The only way to avoid staying in the haunted visting team hotel in OKC...is to be on the home team. (Anybody know if Lebron or Bosh are scared of ghosts?)
