The 2009 OU football season is now in our rear view mirror. So what did we learn?
1) Landry Jones will be the starting QB going into 2010. 418 yards in the Sun Bowl locked that up.
2) Ryan Broyles has gone from troublemaker to superstar.
3) Ronnell Lewis will be the next great linebacker at OU.
4) Jonathan Nelson is fast and good. He'll make the loss of Brian Jackson easier.
5) Bob Stoops may never have a better leader than Gerald McCoy.
6) The Sooners finally figured out which receivers they can depend on; Broyles, Dejuan Miller and Jaz Reynolds.
7) There has never been a better time to be an offensive line recruit at OU.
8) It's impossible to explain what Jeremy Beal does well. He just does it.
9) Tress Way may go down, when all is said and done, as the best punter in Sooner history.
And 10) The MVP of 2009....Scott Anderson and the OU training staff. They deserve a vacation.
