Snakes on a Plane....aka...Snakebit on the Plains

It is the midway point of the season, so time to pass out the halftime Sooner Heismans. Here are the top five players so far this season for OU. Notice the absence of Sir Bradford and Sir Gresham.

5) Landry Jones - thank goodness this kid was ready to play. Not that he's lit up the place, but he's made the loss of Sam more digestable.

4) Brian Jackson - 4 interceptions in 4 straight games. That's a first. That's impressive.

3) Brody Eldridge - The first player in the Sooners modern era to start at three different positions in the same season. He's the Jose Oquendo of OU.

2) Ryan Broyles - In an offense void of electricity he's been a bolt of lightning. Eight touchdowns and a much-needed big play threat.

1) Jeremy Beal - He seems to be in the backfield on every play. Three sacks in back-to-back games. He's an animal.
