OKLAHOMA CITY -- While many people are picking up the pieces after Tuesday's tornadoes, making sure all of their families members are safe is priority. For many Oklahoma families this includes their pets.
Pet Memories is offering free cremation services to anyone that has lost a pet in the tornadoes. They are offering other services such as: transporting or recovery of deceased pets anywhere in the areas that were affected in Yukon, El Reno, Piedmont, Chickasha, Canton and others. If they need shelter for live pets, they can provide temporary housing as well.
Call 405-840-0800
Piedmont Animal Services has many displaced and wounded dogs. More are being brought in and workers will be there for several more hours. If anyone in that area is missing a pet they can call the shelter at 373-3777.
In Canadian County, Evergreen Place Rescue was flattened from a tornado. It's located at 14400 N. Banner Road in Yukon. The facility ran a pet cremation service and a senior cat and dog rescue and sanctuary.
The kennels, home and offices are destroyed. There are a lot of deceased pets, pets missing and pets in critical condition that have been taken to Neel's Emergency Clinic.
