OKLAHOMA CITY -- Cimarron Alliance of Oklahoma City kicks off LGBT Pride Month on Saturday, June 4 with "Pride in Art II." The one-night-only art show and sale will be held at Istvan Gallery at Urban Art, 1218 N. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City, from 7-10 p.m.
Artists are LGBT or LGBT-supportive and include Sarah Atlee, Jennifer Barron, Gayle Curry, Tunde Darvay, Ashley Griffith, Clayton Issleib, Christina Kovash, Stephen Kovash, Romy Owens, Luis Saenz and Tony Westlund.
"Oklahoma's art scene has just exploded over the past two decades. Many LGBT artists have been true champions of this growth and Pride in Art is our way of celebrating the accomplishments of so many gay and gay-friendly artists," said Cimarron Executive Director Scott J. Hamilton. "We can think of no better way to kick off LGBT Pride Month than with this extraordinary evening of cocktails, good eats, great art, and a true celebration."
